of course as an artist, i've been posting a lot of my work on flickr.com, a great site for free, but i'm planning on paying a subscription so that i can have more personal control, as well as load up more sets.. check them out..
i'm not sure, who else receives this newsletter.. Artkrush..it is a great newsletter for emerging and current art, artist, ideas..well worth the read and subscription..like the current piece on

GABRIEL KURI - AND THANKS IN ADVANCE

The Govett-Brewster Art Gallery in partnership with the Western Institute of Technology (WITT) and supported by Creative New Zealand, presents Gabriel Kuri: 2006 International Artist in Residence, in his first exhibition in New Zealand. Internationally recognised for an artistic practice that embraces installations, photographs, drawings and sculpture, Mexican-born Belgium-based Kuri will be presenting new works developed during his residency in his solo exhibition, and thanks in advance.

Kuri displaces personal observations of everyday life into the terrain of formal aesthetics resulting in witty and poetic works that challenge how we look at the world around us. In his precise articulation of the grammar of the everyday, Kuri examines and decodes experience working with a variety of materials and situations from everyday life that take on symbolic meanings. The appearance and form of Kuri’s objects are at odds with the stories they have to tell, relying on language games and twisted semantics, visual tricks, artifice and illusion. During his residency at Govett-Brewster, Kuri will incorporate his experience living in New Plymouth with its circumstantial and material specificity.

how to keep focus..when so many other blogs are so much more informative; that is truly a challenge for me.., i mean you have to admire the likes of DJ Rupture,

who has time to provide such wonderful new music and cultural ideas, and still be such a prolific producer and DJ..i don't know where he gets the time and energy to keep so many hats on..i'm so damn tired after just 8 hours of slave labor..i can barely figure out how to make dinner and still compose, create (i.e., paint or draw) and reflect before i'm nodding off..at the midnight hour..most of this composition is happening while i'm at my day job..lucky for me..i have access to computer resources..



gosh, i dig him so much..this is not a great portrait..but i definitely want to do others of him..
check out this mix from ghislain P. out of canada, whom rupture and others seem familar with, whereas, without rupture i would have never heard of this cat.. his mix..
great god, the internet is truly the dawn of a global community..as much as i hate that 'phrase', it implies that we all share similar goals and desires which is not really true of the world even though we are a lot closer these day..

but they are having a bit of a problem with podomatic.com..loading up the page..; that's another general time issue i'm having these days..how to create quality mixes, format to mp3 and upload to my pod..site..perhaps i need to reevaluate how i do this..since typically i attempt it all in a setting..but i haven't been that happy with my last few sets..and need to take more time to construct them..clean them up..and provide a play list..
my blood..DJ connor is never short of new mixes on the weekly it seems..check him out..
i have always enjoyed his stuff..as well as DJ carlos corcho he goes by DJChang..and he posts a all latin mix on one of his other podcast..follow up on both of these guys, you won't be dissapointed..
i wonder what Lemon Red is up to these days..
another stanger that i have much respect for..and so glad he got his personal blogg up and going and not just the turntable lab 'work' he is also doing..
got much respect for turntable lab and they's peeps..but some times i just want Lemon Red and no one else..
